Today was much like yesterday. We drove just over 700 miles. Well my dad did i slept most of the trip. I think i had it a bit better. When we went through Nebraska I got a little weird-ed out. All my life i had been surrounded by hills and mountains. Today I woke up after a nap in the car and and i couldnt see a hill anywhere.

But i think the highlight of my day was lunch. We stopped off somewhere and went into the stop.  It was just a no name truck stop but inside they had something called a Danger Dog. it was the biggest hot dog i have ever seen… so i had to have it… and i did. It was great. I am looking forward to some real food but this was a good replacement. So for a day that had not to much to do with our trip, I liked it.

  1. Hi Trevor,

Sounds like you are getting all rested up for the real trip ahead. I liked your photo of Liquor and fireworks, being a bad combination. I have driven the same road you guys are on a few times when I went to unassigned territory in Nebraska and Illinois. It is strange to see all flat land. Sometimes, it seemed to me that it was so flat you could see the curvature of the earth! I’m glad you had that great big hot dog and hope you guys will let us know what other culinary treats and restaurants you go to. If you see a Kingdom Hall or Assembly Hall, snap a picture. Happy trails and be safe. Retha

  2. Trevor Trevor Trevor, always got food being stuffed into your mouth. glad to see somethings never change

  3. Thanks for your phonecall today son! I always appreciate hearing from my two men. Do you have a specialty food you will be looking for on menus? Did a horizon picture of the flat lands of Nebraska get taken? I have never been there before. I am glad you are experiencing it and relating it back to us who have not been there. Nice to see you here at the blog Retha!

  4. Let the feasting begin! Have fun man, looking forward to the adventure.

  5. You haven’t had a hot dog until you’ve had a NYC hot dog. Hope to have one next weekend. We’ll be in the Big Apple. Enjoy your adventure, Trevor. Adios!

  6. I’m with Francois……”Let the feasting begin!”……After all, that was the original reason for this trip. Right?
I had just the opposite reaction about the terrain as one of your other commenters had. Having grown up in Illinois where we could see as far as the eye could see, I felt quite hemmed in when we moved to the Rogue Valley in Oregon and the mountains kept blocking my view. Very claustrophobic for me. Took quite a time to get used to.

  7. Hi Trevor,
